NEPTUNE 6 - Fujairah

Neptune 6, off the coast of Fujairah, offers a proper wreck dive. This isn't some artificial reef, it’s a non-propelled drill tender barge, built in 1945 and sunk after a collision back in '73. At 79 metres long and sitting upright at 21 metres, it's substantial, allowing for a good amount of exploration. We love dropping onto the stern, seeing the deck come into view, covered in soft corals. The structure itself is still largely intact, giving you glimpses into its past life. You can swim around the superstructures, peeking into open holds where schools of snapper often hang out, their scales catching the light. Look closely at the metalwork; we've seen moray eels tucked into crevices, and our favourite, the occasional cuttlefish blending into the rust-coloured hull. It's a dive that rewards slow, meticulous exploration rather than a quick swim-through. Keep an eye on your bottom time; there’s always another corner to check.
