The Bern wreck sits upright at 18 meters, a compelling dive for those interested in maritime history and the hardy life of the South Atlantic. We found the stern section particularly intact, offering swim-throughs into the engine room that attract schools of silvery fish. It’s a site best suited for divers with good buoyancy control, given the silt and the currents that can sometimes sweep through. Definitely one to explore for its structure and the surprisingly resilient communities of anemones and crabs that call it home.
