With 131+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, humpback whales, seals & sea lions, sea turtles and sperm whales - Plaza islands offers some of Galápagos Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 23-28°C, warmest February, March, April.
The Plaza Islands offer a solid dive with plenty of sea lions. You'll often find them playing in the shallows, darting between divers. We also see reef sharks patrolling deeper and a good variety of schooling fish. It’s a good spot for newer divers, relatively mellow, and a strong contender for a second or third dive of the day.
