Pilardive - Morrocoy & Chichiriviche
Pilardive, a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, operates out of Morrocoy and Chichiriviche, two spots along Venezuela’s central coast that really surprise some divers. We’ve found they’re particularly good for those looking to get certified or advance their PADI qualifications. The instructors here know the local waters well, which helps when currents pick up around sites like Bajo de Juan and the various *cayes*. While the reefs aren’t the most vibrant we’ve seen, the sheer number of *chub* and *barracuda* schooling can be impressive, especially in the mornings before the day boats arrive. It’s a solid choice for focused training in a region that sees fewer international dive tourists.
