Diving Spot - Bali

Diving Spot, despite the generic name, gives us plenty to talk about. We found ourselves coming back here, not for huge pelagics, but for the sheer volume of small, intricate life. This site is a macro photographer’s dream, a sprawling patch of reef and seagrass beds that just begs you to slow down and look closer. Our favourite time to dive here is early morning, before the day boats crowd the area, when the light filters beautifully through the water. You’ll drift over sandy patches and seagrass, which at first glance might seem empty. But give it a moment. We've spotted Rosy Frogfish camouflaged perfectly, looking like sponges, and those tiny Karimunjawa Dottybacks darting between coral heads. Keep an eye out for the Blue-ribbon wrasse, their colours are ridiculously vibrant against the muted background. The Pinda Moray often peeks out from its rocky crevices, and clown anemonefish always make for a good photo op. This isn’t a high-adrenaline dive, but if you love finding the little things, the hidden treasures that require patience and a keen eye, then Diving Spot is absolutely for you.
