Menjangan - Pos 2 - Bali

Pos 2 on Menjangan Island is one of those sites that just feels *good*. The boat ride out is usually calm, a pleasant run across the bay. We love dropping in here, particularly on a bright morning when the sun hits the reef wall just right. You’ll find the wall absolutely plastered with corals, especially those intricate staghorns in creams and soft browns. It feels like swimming through a meticulously tended garden. Keep an eye out for the small stuff, as this is where Menjangan really shines. We often spot Orange Convict Reefgobies doing their jerky little dances in the sand patches, and the Yellowskin Dwarfgoby hiding in the crevices. The reef really supports these smaller, often overlooked species. Look closely among the branches of the coral, and you're bound to find tiny things flitting about. If the current is mild, we'd suggest taking it slow and letting your eyes adjust to the details. This isn’t a site for pelagic hunters, but for those who appreciate the subtle beauty of a healthy reef. It’s a gentle dive, perfect for just cruising along and soaking it all in.
