NOER RAHMAT - Bali

Noer Rahmat is one of those deep wrecks we just keep coming back to. Sitting upright at 38 metres, this motor vessel is a serious piece of history. We’re talking about a wreck that truly feels like a time capsule, not just a pile of metal. You descend into the blue, and as the outline of the ship appears, you start to make out the details: the wheelhouse, the cargo holds, even the distinctive bow. Visibility here can vary, but on a good day, the light plays beautifully through the superstructure, highlighting the soft corals and gorgonians that have claimed every surface. We love poking around the deeper holds, where schools of batfish usually hang out, their silvery bodies flashing in the beam of your torch. Look closely, and you’ll often spot a reef shark cruising by in the distance, or a big grouper eyeing you from a shadowy corner. This wreck is definitely one for advanced divers comfortable with depth and perhaps a bit of current, which can sometimes sweep through. It’s not just about the wreck itself, but the journey down and the sense of discovery you get exploring a ship so well preserved at this depth. For us, the way the history blends with the vibrant reef life makes Noer Rahmat a standout.
