Seraya Beach Dive Site - Bali

Seraya Beach is one of those spots we keep coming back to in Bali, mainly because it never disappoints on the macro front. It’s not about grand pelagics or sweeping walls here. Instead, think muck diving with a twist, just a short hop from Tulamben. We often find ourselves just off the beach, poking around the sandy slopes and small bommies, eyes peeled for the little guys. Our favourite thing to do is take it slow, really scour the sandy patches. You’ll spot slender snake eels poking their heads out, and we’ve found some truly striking nudibranchs here, like the bicolor nudibranch and the brown-blotched okenia, a real treat for photographers. Look closely at the staghorn and branch corals; they’re often nurseries for glassy cardinalfish, and we’ve even come across Stobbs' and Shimada's pygmygobies tucked away. It’s a great site for divers who appreciate the intricate details, the kind of place where a good guide can make all the difference, pointing out things you’d swim right past. We’d suggest going early, before the day boats get too busy, and bringing a keen eye.
