TRI STRIA - Bali

TRI STRIA is one of those deeper wrecks off Bali that often gets overlooked, but we think that’s a mistake. This isn't a massive warship, rather a barge sitting upright at 33 metres, its structure now thoroughly draped in soft corals and sponges. Diving it, you get this great sense of history without the crowds you find at some of the more famous sites. We’ve had some cracking dives here, navigating through the open cargo hold where schools of fusiliers swirl so thick they momentarily block the light. Keep an eye out for resident batfish that drift lazily around the upper sections, and we’ve spotted marbled stingrays tucked under the edges of the deck plates a few times. The wreck itself offers plenty of nooks to poke around, and the play of light through the rust-eaten metal is always a treat. For divers comfortable with depth and looking for something beyond the usual reef dives, TRI STRIA is a real contender. Just be mindful of your bottom time down there.
