TUNDA DJANTERA - Bali

Tunda Djantera, just off the coast of Candidasa, gives you a proper shipwreck dive without needing technical skills. This old merchant vessel sits upright, relatively shallow, and has become a beautiful artificial reef. We love how light plays through the holds, illuminating the schools of glassfish that swirl inside. You'll spend your bottom time navigating the superstructure, peeking into the cargo areas, and spotting the resident moray eels tucked into every crevice. Our favourite detail is the encrusting corals, already softening the hard edges of the ship, making it feel less like a wreck and more like an underwater garden. It's an ideal spot for anyone looking to get their first taste of wreck diving, or for photographers wanting to capture dramatic silhouettes against the sun-dappled deck. Just be mindful of the occasional mild current, which can pick up a bit mid-day.
