Amed White Sand Divers - Lombok & Gili Islands
The team at Amed White Sand Divers is our kind of outfit – no fuss, just solid diving. They’re based in Lombok, which we think is often overshadowed by Bali, but delivers some truly rewarding diving. If you’re looking to get serious about your diving, especially if you’re thinking about technical progression, these are your people. We love that they offer Tec dives, including decompression dives on open circuit or CCR. That’s not something you find everywhere, and it shows a real commitment to high-level training. From a practical perspective, they’re PADI through and through, offering everything from Discover Scuba Diving all the way up to Dive Master. We appreciate the continuity that provides. For fun dives, we’d suggest asking about their early morning trips. Getting out before the crowds, watching the sun hit the water, is a whole different experience here, often bringing out the reef sharks before they retreat deeper. The visibility can be incredibly clear then, letting you really appreciate the scale of the coral bommies. We’d pick them for anyone wanting a reliable, knowledgeable dive operator that knows the Lombok waters intimately and can take you beyond the usual recreational limits.
