AquaMarine Diving - Bali - Lombok & Gili Islands
The team at AquaMarine Diving - Bali are the quiet achievers of Lombok and the Gilis, the ones we send our friends to when they want a trip run with precision and a genuine smile. Annabel, the owner, has been running this outfit since '99, so they’ve seen it all and know the local conditions inside out. We especially love their focus on multi-day dive safaris, carefully tailoring itineraries across both Lombok and the Gili Islands. Forget the usual Gili cattle boats; AMD-B offers a more intimate, considered experience. We’ve found ourselves drifting over pristine hard coral gardens off Lombok's south coast, often with just our group and the gentle hum of the boat. The visibility here can be incredible, sometimes stretching to 30 metres, letting you spot the tiniest nudibranchs on the reef or watch a passing reef shark melt into the blue. Our favourite tip? Ask about their dawn dives; watching the reef come alive as the sun paints the water gold is a moment you won't forget. They do PADI courses, too, but we reckon they shine brightest for experienced divers looking to explore beyond the usual spots.
