Reeflex Divers - Lombok & Gili Islands
The team at Reeflex Divers, splitting their time between Lombok and the Gilis, really nails that sweet spot between professional and genuinely relaxed. We love that they’re SSI, running everything from intro dives to instructor training, but it’s their vibe we keep coming back for. They’re absolutely the pick if you're looking for a centre that values solid safety and good gear, but also wants you to feel like part of the crew, not just another diver on the roster. Our favourite dives with them usually involve a trip out to the Gili Islands. You’ll be cruising along, feeling the spray, then dropping into sites like Shark Point or Turtle Heaven. We’ve had mornings at Shark Point where the white tips are just cruising the sand flats, oblivious, and then the reef slopes up, bright with anemones. At Turtle Heaven, it’s not unusual to spot six or seven green turtles munching on the seagrass, completely unbothered by us watching them. The currents here can be zippy, so pay attention during the briefing. Reeflex’s instructors are great at reading the conditions and finding the calmer pockets, though. We’d suggest an early morning dive with them; the light is softer, and the boat traffic is minimal, making for a much more serene experience.
