With 153+ marine species recorded in the area - including sea turtles, sperm whales, whale sharks and pufferfish - Unjang offers some of Perhentian Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest May, June, August.
Unjang is a deeper dive in the Perhentians, dropping to 28m. We often find schooling fusiliers here and the occasional reef shark patrolling the area. It’s a good option for intermediate divers looking for a bit more depth and a chance to spot some larger pelagics away from the busier spots. Currents can pick up, so be mindful of the conditions.
