Shark Lagoon - Mergui Archipelago

Shark Lagoon is often one of the first or last dives we do in Mergui, right near the Thai border. It’s a big, shallow lagoon, maxing out around 12 meters, connected to the open ocean by a low overhang. At high tide, you'll need to duck to get through, which adds a bit of fun. Inside, it’s mostly a sandy bottom with scattered coral, but the real draw is the atmosphere – the jungle-covered cliffs above are stunning, and it’s a good spot for birdwatching between dives. We often see reef sharks cruising the perimeter, and it's a very chill dive, perfect for warming up or winding down a trip.
