SEA DREDGE - Similan Islands

The Sea Dredge, resting at 14 metres, offers a different kind of dive for the Similans. This old dredger went down in 1990, and while she’s seen better days – the wreck was lifted in sections – what remains is a fascinating artificial reef. We’ve found plenty of glassfish schooling around the metal framework and often spot lionfish tucked into crevices. It's a relaxed dive, good for photographers keen on macro subjects, or anyone looking to spend time exploring an interesting man-made structure rather than a natural reef.
