LA-05922 - Nha Trang

LA-05922 is Nha Trang’s most compelling wreck, a genuinely dangerous beauty that demands respect. We love how the story of this site is etched into its rusted hull. You’re descending onto a sunken fishing trawler, reportedly taken down by a storm decades ago, now lying upright on a sandy bottom at 38 metres. It's an imposing silhouette as you drop through the thermocline. The wreck itself is heavily encrusted, a testament to years underwater. We've seen giant morays peeking from the engine room, and sometimes a school of batfish will circle the mast, their silvery scales catching the light. Penetration is risky, very silty and full of snag hazards, so we’d advise staying on the exterior unless you're very experienced with wreck diving and have proper training. Even then, watch your deco. For keen wreck divers who appreciate history and don't mind a deeper profile, this is our favourite Nha Trang pick. The visibility can be temperamental, but on a good day, the atmosphere is incredible.
