Pacific barge 05 - Nha Trang

The Pacific Barge 05 is a Nha Trang classic, and one we always enjoy revisiting. It’s not deep, just nine metres, but that shallow depth means plenty of light penetrates the water, making the colours really pop. We love how much of the barge is still intact, giving you genuine exploration opportunities. You can swim through several open sections, imagining the life of the crew, and the sheer amount of soft coral growing on the metal is impressive. Look for schools of juvenile barracuda shimmering overhead, and we’ve often spotted lionfish tucked into crevices. This site is perfect for photographers, especially macro fans who want to spend time hunting for nudibranchs and smaller critters that shelter in the wreck’s nooks and crannies. We’d suggest going early in the morning to beat any crowds and catch the best light.
