Rainbow Divers - Nha Trang

Rainbow Divers, as a site name, usually refers to the operator. But in Nha Trang, it’s also the name given to a particular reef we’ve always enjoyed. We’ve logged more dives here than anywhere else in the area, and for good reason. The site itself isn’t dramatic, you won’t find walls or swim-throughs, but it’s the place we consistently spot the macro stuff. Think small, slow, and look closely. We’ve had some cracking encounters here with Oriental flying gurnards fanning out their iridescent fins, and the honeycomb morays always seem to be peeking out from their crevices. The sheer density of species here, 580 in total, means every dive reveals something new. Our favourite find has to be the hedgehog seahorse, tiny and often mistaken for a bit of seagrass. We’d suggest you take your time, hover close to the substrate, and really comb over the rocky outcrops. This site is perfect for photographers or anyone who loves the hunt for the tiny things. Expect to spend a solid hour just exploring a small patch of reef.
