SS Woniora - Sydney & New South Wales

The SS Woniora, a coastal steamer that sank in 1928, offers a solid wreck dive just off Sydney's coast. We often find the visibility here can be a bit hit or miss, but on a good day, the wreck stands out clearly against the sandy bottom. You can trace her hull, explore parts of the collapsed superstructure, and peer into cargo holds now home to schools of yellowtail and the occasional wobbegong shark. It's a great site for divers who appreciate a bit of history and don't mind a bit of a current, which sometimes sweeps through, bringing in bigger pelagics.
