Captain Don’s Reef (K) - Klein Bonaire

Fisherman's Cove Reef, just a quick skip from Beau Vallon, often gets overlooked for the flashier outer sites, but we always enjoy a relaxed dive here. It’s got a maximum depth of 14m, perfect for an easy afternoon, especially if you've got newer divers in the group. The reef itself is a mix of coral bommies rising from the sand, offering plenty of nooks to poke around in. We usually spot Chestnut Blennies peering out from their holes and those tiny Minute Triplefins darting about. Keep an eye out for Flathead Sleepers blending into the sandy patches, they're masters of camouflage. We’ve had some cracking encounters with Grey Sweetlips here too, often huddled under ledges. While the visibility averages around 12m, it can really pop on a good day. We find the mornings tend to be calmer, with less boat traffic from the nearby marina. If you’re into macro life and a generally chilled-out dive, this place delivers.
