Monte’s Divi Tree (H) - Klein Bonaire

Pretty Bush is one of our go-to sites on Roatán when we’re looking for a relaxed, easy dive with plenty to keep us looking closely. The reef starts right in the shallows, maybe 5 metres, then just keeps going, dropping off to a nice 20-metre max depth. It’s a broken wall, really, with these lovely sand channels cutting through, giving it a varied feel. We’ve had some fantastic encounters here, especially with the smaller stuff: those tiny Notchtongue Gobies are always a treat to spot, and the Lettuce Sea Slugs practically glow in the shallows. Keep an eye out for Spotted Eagle Rays gliding past the wall; we’ve had some luck seeing them early morning. We love how the light plays on the corals as you drift, painting the Angelfish and Blue Parrotfish in rich colours. It’s an ideal spot if you appreciate a gentle current and a site that rewards a slow, observant pace rather than big pelagic action.
