Maggie’s Maze - Grand Cayman

Pantai Pinang, just a quick 20-minute scoot from Pattumbukan Harbour, is a site we always try to squeeze in. It's a proper wall dive, limestone dropping down to about 30 metres, maybe a bit more in places. You'll find yourself drifting along a soft current, the kind that just carries you gently, giving you plenty of time to really soak it all in. We love the way the gorgonian seafans cling to the rock, stretching out into the blue, interspersed with patches of colourful soft corals. Keep your eyes peeled for the big stuff; we've often seen Napoleon wrasse cruising by, and the occasional dogtooth tuna zipping past in the blue. Schools of fusiliers are a constant presence, sometimes so thick they almost block out the sun, and there are always plenty of rainbow runners weaving through them. Turtles often glide past, unbothered, and if you look carefully into the crevices, you might spot a moray eel peering out or a lobster tucked away. It’s a great dive for anyone who enjoys a relaxed drift along a beautiful wall, with good chances of seeing both pelagics and reef life.
