Halifax - Grenada - Southwest Coast

Little Bluff Reef, tucked away on Grand Cayman's North Side, is one of those places we always enjoy revisiting. It’s not about dramatic walls or huge pelagics here, but rather a proper shallow-reef immersion, topping out at 21 metres. We especially like the rolling meadows of hard corals – particularly the grooved and boulder brain corals – that form these long, low-relief fingers running north-south. It feels a bit like diving through an underwater topiary garden, with plenty of nooks and crannies to poke around in. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff. We’ve had some fantastic encounters with shy gobies here, the semiscaled and orangeside varieties often popping up from sandy patches. The hamlets are particularly good, and we’ve even spotted the more unusual Indigo and Golden types. For photographers or divers who appreciate a slow, unhurried explore, Little Bluff is a real treat. Its calm conditions and good visibility mean you can really take your time, soaking in the details without being rushed.
