Sculpture Park - Southwest Coast

The Cove is an easy winner on Grenada’s southwest coast. We love a good pinnacle, and this one, rising from the depths outside Halifax Bay, delivers. Descending onto the top at around 8m, you’re immediately enveloped in the rush of small reef fish. Schools of fusiliers are often so thick here they can momentarily blot out the sun. As you explore down the slopes to the 21m maximum, watch for the smaller residents. The cryptic orangespotted filefish often blend seamlessly into the coral, and we’ve spotted slender filefish hovering near sea fans. The current can pick up, so be ready for a drift, but it’s generally mild, making it a comfortable dive for nearly everyone. Keep an eye into the blue too, while rare, false killer whales and even sperm whales have been known to pass by. It’s a site that always feels fresh, no matter how many times we drop in.
