Stingray Alley - Southwest Coast

Underwater World is a site we're still getting to know, but it’s already becoming a firm favourite for its sheer chill factor. It's an easy dive, perfect for a relaxed afternoon, starting shallow at three metres and sloping down to a sandy bottom around 19m. The star here is a large coral head, a proper mini-world in itself, absolutely coated in soft corals and sea fans. We love drifting through the swim-through, the light filtering in, often spotting a white-tip reef shark cruising by. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too; we’ve found some fantastic nudibranchs tucked into crevices and those gorgeous blue-ribbon wrasse flitting about. Visibility tends to be solid, around 23 metres, making it an easy photography dive. This site suits anyone looking for a calm, beautiful reef without strong currents, and it’s especially good for newer divers or those who just want to unwind and spot some pipefish.
