Kaiwai Watersports at Fiji Marriott Resort - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef

The team at Kaiwai Watersports at Fiji Marriott Resort are an absolute treat to dive with, especially if you’re looking to explore the Great Astrolabe. We found their focus on smaller groups really paid off, making each dive feel far more personal than some of the bigger operations we’ve encountered elsewhere. They know this reef inside out, so you’re always getting the best of the conditions. We love that they’re PADI certified and offer resort courses; it’s perfect if you’ve got non-diving friends or family who want a taste of the underwater world. Our favourite thing about diving with Kaiwai, though, has to be their local knowledge. They often take you to quieter spots where the reef sharks cruise lazily and the bommies are just bursting with anthias, a blur of orange and purple. We’d suggest chatting with them about the best time for spotting manta rays; they usually have the inside scoop on recent sightings. They make it easy, too, from the resort straight onto the boat, which is always a bonus when you’re on holiday.
