Subsurface Fiji - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef

The team at Subsurface Fiji are the real deal if you’re heading to Kadavu and the Great Astrolabe Reef. We love that they’re completely focused on getting you into that specific water, no distractions. It’s a PADI operation, which means reliable standards, and our kind of diving here involves serious current, serious fish. This isn't your placid resort dive. Think big animal encounters: manta rays that come so close you feel the displacement, reef sharks patrolling the drop-offs, and schools of jacks so dense they make the ocean hum. They’re set up for divers who want to *dive*, often multiple times a day. We’d suggest you go with a few dives under your belt; the currents on the Astrolabe can be exhilarating, pushing you along walls painted with soft corals in every shade of pink and orange. Early mornings are often best for mantas, but any time of day brings the buzz of the reef. We always feel a bit windswept but totally invigorated after a session with them. If you’re chasing that feeling of being a small part of a vast, moving ocean, Subsurface Fiji gets it right.
