With 98+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, sea turtles, spinner dolphins and whale sharks - Moofushi Kandu offers some of Rasdhoo Atoll's richest drift diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Moofushi Kandu in Rasdhoo Atoll offers a pleasant drift dive. We often find ourselves gliding over a sandy bottom, with small coral patches appearing regularly. It’s not a site that will blow your hair back with huge pelagics, but it's a wonderfully relaxed introduction to Maldivian channel diving for newer divers. You'll likely spot white tip reef sharks cruising by and plenty of schooling fusiliers. It's a gentle ride, perfect for getting comfortable with the current.
