Scubafish Dive Center Ltd - Zanzibar & Pemba

The team at Scubafish Dive Center Ltd are exactly the kind of people you want looking after you in Zanzibar. Based out of Matemwe, they’re perfectly positioned for the Mnemba Atoll, which is easily our favourite diving in the area. We’ve always found their briefings thorough and their boat crews quick to help with gear. They run a tight ship, in the best possible way. What makes Scubafish stand out for us is their commitment to smaller groups. You won’t find yourself crammed onto a boat with a dozen other divers, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to photograph a ribbon eel or simply enjoy the schooling bannerfish on the reef. We particularly love their morning two-tank trips to Mnemba – get out early, beat the crowds, and you’ll often have the walls and bommies almost to yourselves. Keep an eye out for the green turtles that cruise the shallows; they’re remarkably unfazed by divers. They’re a PADI 5 Star outfit too, so if you’re looking to get certified or advance your skills, you’ll be in very capable hands. We’d suggest booking ahead, especially during peak season, as their spots fill up fast for good reason.
