LORD MILNER - Zanzibar & Pemba

The Lord Milner isn't your average pile of submerged rust. This old steel vessel, scuttled on Daphne Reef back in 1929, feels like a proper historical dive. We love the way the coral has completely taken over, softening the harsh lines of the 52-meter wreck. You’re not just looking at a boat; you’re diving through a living reef that grew around a sunken ship. Glide past the bow, imagining it cutting through the waves a century ago. Keep an eye out for the resident moray eels peeking from crevices and the schools of snapper that swirl around the remains of the bridge. The maximum depth of 15 meters means you get plenty of bottom time to really soak it all in, making it a fantastic spot for open water divers looking for a bit of wreck history without the deep decompression stops. It’s a wonderfully atmospheric dive, especially when the late afternoon sun filters through the water, casting long shadows across the deck.
