Turtle Reef
Why dive here
With 312+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue-spotted stingrays, dolphins, eagle rays and hammerhead sharks - Turtle Reef offers some of Zanzibar & Pemba's richest reef diving. Water ranges 26-30°C, warmest February, March, April.
Turtle Reef offers a gentle introduction to Zanzibar's coral environments. It’s a shallower site, good for less experienced divers or those looking for an easy second dive. You’ll typically spot green turtles grazing amongst the coral patches and sometimes a few reef sharks patrolling the edges. We’ve found it a relaxed dive, perfect for photographers wanting to take their time.
