Cavern Bay - Istria Peninsula

Cavern Bay, tucked away on Croatia's Istrian Peninsula, is a good pick if you’re looking to add some overhead environment experience to your logbook without going full cave. The entrance is wide open, letting plenty of light filter through the gin-clear water, illuminating the rock formations inside. We’ve found the best time to visit is mid-morning, when the sun is high enough to really make the blues pop. It's an intermediate dive, reaching about 25 metres, so definitely suitable for those comfortable with their buoyancy in tighter spaces. You won't find massive schools of pelagics here, but look closely along the walls and you’ll spot nudibranchs and small crabs.
