With 46+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, sea turtles and cuttlefish - Grotte Vrbnik offers some of Istria Peninsula's richest cave diving. Water ranges 12-26°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Grotte Vrbnik offers a straightforward cave dive, opening into a decent-sized cavern with a good air pocket for surfacing. We’ve found the light filtering in from the entrance to be quite pretty, illuminating a clear, silty bottom. It’s a nice site for those looking for a relatively easy cave experience without strong currents or complex navigation. Visibility inside usually stays good unless a diver stirs up the floor.
