S.S. Nestorian (Wreck) - South Coast

The S.S. Nestorian sits in a pretty exposed spot off the South Coast, so picking your day is key. When the weather plays nice, though, this wreck is a real beauty. We love the way the light filters through the superstructure, catching the clouds of whiting that school around the bow. It’s a proper expedition dive, a chance to really explore. You’ll find Common Spiny Lobsters tucked into every crevice, their antennae waving in the surge. Look out for Masked crabs scuttling over the plates, and we’ve seen some surprisingly large Bass patrolling the deeper sections. The hull is well broken, but enough remains to give you a strong sense of her past. Our favourite part is navigating the engine room – a bit tight in places, but worth it for the sense of history. This isn't a beginner's wreck; the conditions demand experience, but for those with the skills, the Nestorian delivers a truly memorable dive.
