Scuba Activa - Balearic Islands

You’ll be cruising over rocks and sand, keeping an eye out for the Atlantic stargazers, which are always a treat to spot, usually half-buried with just their eyes peeking out. Look closely, and you might see the Mediterranean tooth-footed snapping shrimp doing their thing near the smaller crevices, or maybe a moray eel tucked into a crevice. We often spot pink cuttlefish here, especially in the shallower areas, and we’ve even seen loggerhead turtles glide past on occasion. The site has a good population of brown combers and saddled seabream darting about. For those who enjoy a slower pace, poking around for the smaller, less common critters like broadnosed pipefish or the elusive lanternfish, this place is perfect. It’s not about huge pelagics, but rather the quiet thrill of discovery, making it a great spot for keen-eyed photographers or those just wanting to soak in the Mediterranean atmosphere.
