Zoea - Balearic Islands
The team at Zoea are some of the most genuinely enthusiastic divers we've met in Mallorca. They’ve been at it since '97, and you feel that experience, not as routine, but as well-oiled passion. We love their setup right in Santa Ponsa port – no long trudges with gear, just a quick hop onto their boat, usually a nice RIB that gets you out to the sites quickly. They’re a PADI shop through and through, running everything from Discover Scuba sessions for nervous first-timers up to Divemaster and Instructor Development. If you're looking to push your skills, their Advanced and Rescue Diver courses are solid, run by instructors who clearly enjoy teaching. For fun dives, they hit up over 20 spots, including a couple of marine reserves, which is where we suggest you focus your time. Think walls draped in red gorgonians, schools of barracuda hanging in the blue, and the occasional dusky grouper lurking in a crevice. We’d also recommend asking about their trips to El Toro or Malgrats marine reserves; the protection there makes a noticeable difference to the fish life. Try to get on an early morning trip for the best visibility and fewer other boats.
