With 189+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, mobula rays (devil rays), ocean sunfish (mola mola), octopuses and sea turtles - Los Cañones offers some of Cabo de Palos's richest diving. Water ranges 15-28°C, warmest July, August, September.
Los Cañones offers a straightforward dive, perfect for those new to the area or still building confidence. We found it a pleasant, shallow site, topping out at 15 meters, with a sandy bottom dotted with rocks. You'll likely spot small schooling fish, maybe a curious moray eel tucked into a crevice. It’s a good spot for a relaxed dive, especially when the deeper sites have a bit too much chop.
