Why dive here
With 76+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, octopuses, sea turtles, sperm whales and cuttlefish - CROMO offers some of Canary Islands's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 20-24°C, warmest August, September, October.
The CROMO wreck, sitting just 10 metres down, makes for a really easy dive, perfect if you’re looking for a relaxed exploration. This old motor vessel, built in 1920 and sunk at anchor in 1981, is now a lovely, accessible artificial reef. We've seen moray eels peeking from the shadows and schools of damselfish flitting over the encrusted hull. It’s not a massive wreck, but the history is tangible, and its shallow depth means you get plenty of bottom time to poke around. A great choice for photographers or anyone wanting a chill dive with a bit of history.
