The team at ScubaCaribe Cabo San Lucas are a great pick if you’re looking to get certified, or just want a reliably smooth operation for your fun dives in the Sea of Cortez. They run a tight ship, as you’d expect from a PADI 5 Star resort, with well-maintained gear and experienced instructors who actually seem to enjoy teaching. We’ve found them particularly good with newer divers, making those first ocean dives feel less intimidating. Our favourite part about diving with ScubaCaribe here is their access to the local sites. We’re talking about places like Neptune's Finger, where the rock formations are just wild, or the sand falls, which feel like diving through an hourglass. Visibility here is usually decent, especially in the late summer and fall – we’ve had days where it felt like we could see for miles, watching mobula rays cruise by just beneath the surface. They typically run two-tank morning trips, which we always appreciate for getting us back to shore with plenty of afternoon left. If you’re staying in one of the bigger resorts nearby, chances are they're partnered, making logistics a breeze.
