EUROWAVE (PROBABLY) - Tyre

Okay, so "Eurowave (Probably)" is a bit of a placeholder name for this monster, but it gets the job done. This isn't your typical wreck dive, given its depth. The *Eurowave*, a 144-meter motor vessel, ran aground in Tyre in '79 during some nasty weather, and now she just… sits there. We love it because it’s a proper ship, just inches below the surface, feeling both grand and oddly accessible. Imagine finning over the vast, broken hull, some sections just breaking the surface, others a meter or two down. It’s a fascinating snorkel or super-shallow dive, letting you really appreciate the scale of it. Our favourite part is how the light plays across the metal, illuminating the schools of small silversides that dart through the shadows cast by the rusted plates. You’ll spot parrotfish grazing the algae, and occasionally a curious octopus peeking from a crevice. It’s not about deep exploration here; it’s about the sheer presence of this leviathan and the way life has adapted to its broken form. It's a fantastic spot for photographers, especially at golden hour, when the sun dips, painting the exposed steel in fiery oranges.
