KHOR ANN - Dubai & Abu Dhabi

Khor Ann, an old barge, might not sound like much on paper, but we’ve always had a soft spot for it. Lying flat at 20 metres, the wreck itself is just over 36 metres long. It’s a good size to explore thoroughly without feeling rushed, making it perfect for a relaxed dive. We love poking around the mangled metal, imagining the life it once had before it ended up here. Over the years, the wreck has become a proper home for marine life. You’ll find plenty of snapper and fusiliers schooling around the structure, darting in and out of the shadows. Keep an eye out for moray eels tucked into crevices; they’re often curious. The visibility here can vary, but on a good day, the light plays beautifully through the water, highlighting the colours of the sponges and soft corals that have started to colonise the metal. It’s not a drift dive, so you’ve got time to really observe the details. If you’re into wrecks that feel like a piece of history slowly being reclaimed by the ocean, Khor Ann is a solid choice.
