LIBRA L - Dubai & Abu Dhabi

The LIBRA L, a barge sunk in 2017, is one of Dubai's more interesting wrecks, mainly because it's still largely intact. We've always found it a solid choice when the deeper wrecks are off limits. Dropping down to 32 meters, you hit the deck first, often with a decent current pushing you along, so be ready for that. What we love about the LIBRA L is how quickly it’s become a home for fish. Schools of snapper and fusiliers swarm around the superstructure, and if you look closely, you'll spot resident lionfish tucked into corners. The cargo holds are open, allowing for some easy penetration, and we've often found stingrays resting on the sandy bottom nearby. It’s a relatively straightforward dive, good for advanced open water divers looking to practice their wreck skills without too much overhead. Our favourite part is exploring the crane on the deck, which always seems to attract the most fish.
