We especially love the afternoon dives; sometimes the light filters through the water just so, illuminating schools of sardines. The boat rides themselves are often just as enjoyable, with views of the lush, green coastline. A heads-up: Tayrona can get busy, especially on weekends. We’d suggest aiming for weekday dives if you prefer fewer boats around. The currents are generally mild, making it a great spot for newer divers, but there are some deeper walls for those looking to extend their bottom time.
