Bali Reef - Bali

Coral Garden, a short boat ride from Beau Vallon, is one of those sites we always come back to when we’re in the Inner Islands. It’s not about huge pelagics here; it's about the small, intricate world you find when you take your time. We love drifting over the low-lying coral, a mix of table and staghorn, with depths staying around 15 metres. The light plays beautifully through the shallows, illuminating patches of honeycomb morays peering from their hideouts and bloodspot pipefish wriggling between the branches. Keep an eye out for the Cleaner Mimics, tiny fish doing their best impression of something much bigger. Our favourite moments are usually spent watching the ostrich gobies dart across the sand, or trying to spot the enigmatic morays, which are a real treat if you can find them. Visibility averages 11 metres, which is perfectly fine for this kind of macro-focused diving. It’s a gentle dive, suited for new divers or anyone wanting a relaxed photography session without battling strong currents.
