NOBLE HAWK - Halmahera

The *Noble Hawk* is a big, serious wreck, an almost new bulk carrier that went down in 2010. She sits upright, pretty much intact, dropping down to 45 metres. You’ll spend most of your dive in the 20 to 30-metre range, where the bridge and superstructure offer the best exploration. We love how quickly this wreck has become a proper artificial reef; it’s not some ancient, broken hull. From the moment you descend, the sheer scale of the *Noble Hawk* hits you. Schools of yellow-striped snapper hang like a shimmering curtain around the bow, and we’ve often seen large trevally patrolling the deeper sections. Inside the wheelhouse, the controls are still there, overgrown with soft corals, creating a ghostly feel. It’s a fantastic site for anyone who appreciates a modern wreck and enjoys some penetration, though always be mindful of silt. We’d suggest Nitrox to maximise your bottom time, as there’s a lot to take in. It’s a wreck dive that really delivers.
