Dive Dude Belongas - Lombok & Gili Islands
The team at Dive Dude Belongas are the real deal if you’re looking to dive South Lombok. This isn't your Gili Trawangan party scene; this is raw, wild diving, and they know how to handle it. We love how they specialise in getting you to some genuinely epic hammerhead and mobula ray hotspots, sites many other operators just don’t bother with because of the conditions. Picture this: you're dropping into The Magnet, a seamount offshore, and the current starts to hum. Suddenly, a school of hammerheads, maybe twenty, thirty strong, just glides past in the blue. We felt that deep rumble in our chest from the ocean, saw the shimmer of the sun on their skin, and knew this was a special place. Belongas Bay itself has some cracking macro too, and they'll happily guide you through the shallows spotting nudibranchs and frogfish if the big stuff isn't running. Our favourite time to go is during the dry season, June to September, when visibility is usually at its best, though the currents can still rip. Expect early starts and genuine adventure; they’re perfect for experienced divers keen on pelagics and a bit of a challenge.
