THIDA NAVEE - Redang Island

The Thida Navee, an 87-meter motor vessel, settled here in 1986. We find her lying on her starboard side, largely intact, with the stern sitting deepest at around 60 meters. The bridge area, closer to 30 meters, is a good starting point for penetration, though we always recommend proper wreck diving training for going inside. Look for the resident batfish schools that often swirl around the mast and keep an eye out for the occasional reef shark patrolling the deeper sections. It’s a good one for advanced divers looking to spend some serious bottom time exploring a substantial wreck.
