With 173+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, whale sharks and clownfish - Tai Pau offers some of Similan Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Tai Pau sits at a mellow 14 metres, making it a good choice for newer divers finding their fins. We often see blue-spotted rays resting on the sandy bottom here, and the reef patches hold a surprising number of small reef fish. It’s a straightforward dive, well-sheltered, and usually has very little current, ideal for getting comfortable in the water.
