Little Cayman - Cayman Brac

One Bay, pronounced "On-ay," is a pleasant surprise. We often find ourselves drawn to the big currents and dramatic walls of Somosomo, but this little site offers something completely different. It's a protected wall that starts right at the surface, dropping gently to about 8 metres before spilling into a sandy bay peppered with small bommies. We love it for the sheer density of small, colourful life, especially between 5 and 8 metres. Spend time poking around, and you’ll find nudibranchs, little pygmy gobies tucked into crevices, and anemones with their resident clownfish swaying. We've seen Spinysnout Pipefish here and some impressive Staghorn coral formations. It's a calm, easy dive, good for photographers who want to take their time, or anyone who enjoys the slower pace of a shallow reef. Visibility averages around 10 metres, which feels perfectly adequate when you’re looking at things up close. Think of it as a relaxed drift through a living aquarium.
